Peranakan Heritage Gift
A set of sandcastle molds that would be given by the mother to her daughter
A project that requires us to conceptualize a gift design taking into consideration of the Peranakan heritage. The Peranakan kueh molds was believed to have played an important role in the lives of the Peranakan Nyonyas.
The different shapes represents the different Peranakan kueh. The set of sandcastle molds is a form of teaching tool for daughters by their mothers. As they grow up to be young Peranakan, they are required to know the different Peranakan kueh through the shapes.
